As Technical Lead at AOL US, I worked closely with Sylvain in Paris from 2006 to 2010. He pairs a sharp, ROI-driven mindset with deep, hands-on expertise in high-traffic, high-availability architectures. Our paths crossed again in Los Angeles in 2022, when I brought in WEBSTRAT to run a performance proof of concept for the Yahoo! portal. Together, we benchmarked our existing Drupal + React architecture against a modern stack built on Next.js, Strapi CMS, and related technologies. The WEBSTRAT team demonstrated deep expertise across both Drupal and the Vercel ecosystem. In just three months, WEBSTRAT delivered a 24% performance improvement, shaving precious seconds off page load times while lowering our operating costs. WEBSTRAT managed project at Schneider Electric to completely redesign Telemecanique Sensors ecommerce website. The architecture was migrated from on premise to AWS. The ecommerce website was plugged to SAP, SalesForce and PIM/PAM Stibo System STEP backoffice, and the CMS was upgraded to Drupal 9. His team was international team with several developers, a ux/ui and a webmaster. Sylvain was a dream to work with. Great understanding of the requirements of the project, worked well and managed team well. I highly recommend WEBSTRAT.
I worked with Sylvain Lasnier on a website transformation project in 2022. Sylvain was the project manager, and I the tech lead in which he managed a small team. Our mission was to redevelop a complex website with renewed focused on improved data availability, a complete redesign to improve UI/UX user flows, and a full CMS migration. During our time together Sylvain brought great energy to his team. His ability to bring optimism to challenges, thinking outside the box, and having a backup plan prepared for any scenario, was unmatched in my 18 years with the company. I appreciated his skill in truly understanding the needs from all sides of the project, using his technical knowledge and experience to make smart and quick decisions when they counted. He was a pleasure to collaborate with, and I would not hesitate recommending him for future projects.
